Ascom MultiToll to provide “Liber-t” ETC tag dispenser terminal to French APRR

The French toll road operator Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône (APRR) has chosen the technical offer proposed by Ascom MultiToll Solutions, one of the main suppliers of tolling systems, to develop, industrialise and market their new automatic “Liber-t” ETC tag dispenser terminal. This terminal has been specially designed to promote and sell French "Liber-t" tags for electronic toll collection and offers the advantage of being located close to the customers. It can be placed in sites like commercial agencies, service stations, business centres, car parks, shopping centres, etc. In this way, the terminal offers a quick subscription service for ETC tags, available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, to obtain a "Liber-t" tag in a few minutes: a completely secured purchase for immediate use across the French motorway network or in many car parks. The ETC subscription is made on a touchscreen offering intuitive and fast navigation. The customer can register his personal data on a user-friendly interactive graphical interface featuring scrolling information windows. The payment of the trips is made by monthly direct debit after reception of a detailed invoice by mail or via internet. The motorist can so take the road “peace of mind” and get acquainted with the services and advantages of this tag beforehand, without the need to stop once on the way to obtain it. The administrative management of the secure transactions is provided by a GSM / UMTS or Ethernet connection with the back-office. The terminal delivers the tags from an innovative distribution system called “Carousel®” with a capacity of 80 units. The tags are packaged in a little box containing all the accessories (tag holder, wipes…) and documents for immediate use of the tag. Ascom MultiToll Solutions realises the entire terminal following the design defined by APRR, taking into account the graphics standards " Liber-t ".
